Roatan Constructor Willis Campbell founded Camel Hauling and Construction in 1995. Willis had 14 years of construction experience prior to starting his own company, including experience in the Cayman Islands. Willis is an hard-working business man. Being a native of Roatan gives Willis a strong advantage in understanding the local business atmosphere and gives him an advantage in dealing with the local government. His fluency in English and in Spanish are also distinct advantages he has to offer as a builder in Roatan.

Campbell Construction Company specializes in walls skillfully crafted by stone masons. The stones are taken from a quarry on Roatan, and are exquisite in their natural colors. Stone walls are used extensively on exclusive properties on Roatan. Some walls are for appearance, others for retaining soil contours, and others for security. The steep grade of much of Roatán's real estate makes retaining walls an important part of many landscaping plans.
